Scholarships

At the beginning of each Academic Year, Siena Jazz, with the support of local, regional, and national institutions and organizations, offers a number of merit-based scholarships to students who perform exceptionally in the admission exam.

Siena Jazz therefore awards up to 4 scholarships for Second Level Academic Courses to eligible students admitted to the following courses:

  • Jazz Electric Bass
  • Jazz Clarinet
  • Jazz Double Bass
  • Jazz Saxophone
  • Jazz Trumpet
  • Jazz Trombone

The scholarships are awarded to deserving candidates who have distinguished themselves in the entrance exam. These are partial scholarships, corresponding to 50% of the total course registration fee; they therefore cover the payment of the first part of the registration fee, respectively €1,650 for Second Level Academic Courses, and exemption from the second and third parts of the registration fee.

These scholarships are valid only for the Academic Year in which they are awarded.

Scholarship Criteria

To be eligible, candidates must obtain a score of at least 27/30. After the admission exams, the committee will assign scholarships based on the instrument-specific rankings. In the event of a tie, preference will be given to the younger candidate, as per Law 191/1998, Art. 2, Paragraph 9.
If scholarships are not assigned for a particular instrument class, they may be reallocated to other categories at the sole discretion of the committee.

[NEWS] As part of the JazzAble Project (funded by NextGenerationEU contributions from MUR via notice D.D. No. 124 of July 19, 2023), Siena Jazz will award 4 additional scholarships for the 2025–2026 Academic Year:
