Siena Jazz presents an innovative musical project aimed at young people between the ages of 8 and 13. The Peter Pan Orchestra is a wonderful educational means of pairing children with modern music. The Workshop is the pretext for a choral musical education adapted to our times and fully integrated into modern teaching disciplines. The conductor of the Orchestra is Professor Fabrizio Bai.
Children will be educated, not only to perform music, but to create and manipulate it to their liking, thus stimulating their creative process and with it the various forms of improvisation. Materials will be borrowed from light music, jazz, but also from rap styles, Middle Eastern, African and Latin languages, with the experience of their polyrhythms. Students who already play an instrument will immediately be used as instrumentalists, thus also collaborating with the rhythmic-instrumental ensemble, fundamental for the evolution of the laboratory. The orchestra will be the consequent implementation of all this work.
