The CFM – Musical Training Course, is the training course that the Siena Jazz Academy offers to those who want to acquire instrumental and/or theoretical knowledge and skills, both basic and intermediate, but also to students who intend to prepare for a course of academic studies of the 1st level, or preparatory to the admission test to the SJU – Siena Jazz University course. The teaching system includes courses based on the most modern conceptions of jazz-oriented music teaching, also addressing stylistic areas such as popular-music, rock, Latin and ethnic music, in addition to the numerous contemporary stylistic derivations of jazz, with particular attention to the themes of musical improvisation. The instrument lessons are individual-frontal while the theoretical ones are collective, divided into classes composed of groups of students of the same level of skills.
Target
The courses are open to beginners, beginners, and students with previous training of different levels. Applications are also accepted for pre-established groups (minimum four elements) interested in deepening and perfecting their previous musical experiences together. Admission to the courses is open to all students with a minimum age of 14 years.
