International Summer Workshop 2022

24 July / 6 August 2022
National Jazz Academy - Fortezza Medicea, Siena

52th edition

The 52nd edition of the Siena Jazz International Summer Workshop is the ideal environment for making music, sharing experience, comparing personal musical languages and harmonizing the cultures of diverse countries. Students from all five continents have for years now gathered at the Siena Jazz Seminars and have discovered their affinities while getting to know each other, playing music together, sharing their passion and love for jazz.

Registrations are open from 22 March and applications will be accepted subject to availability.

Siena Jazz has created a health protocol that is at once highly detailed and very strict so as to increase the level of safety as much as possible for students, teachers and administrative staff. As a result, we will all be able to devote ourselves calmly and happily to the music we love. Every morning all areas will be sanitized; bathrooms will be sanitized twice a day. Classrooms are equipped with 80 polycarbonate panels that are 2 metres high and 1.5 metres wide. The use of facemasks is mandatory; so, too, are distancing of at least 1 metre and the use of disinfectants on hands and musical instruments. Personnel will check to ensure that all safety measures are carried out.
