Musical Artist Residencies - New musical forms for evolving ensembles

Synthesis is an artistic residency project that stems from the encounter and fusion of musical languages, creative practices and communities. It is an immersive journey in which young musicians explore different soundscapes, bringing jazz, contemporary music and experimentation into dialogue with each other to create a new collective form of expression.

The residence becomes a space for co-creation, research and transformation: a living laboratory where individual identities merge with those of the ensemble, giving rise to a flexible, modular and constantly evolving musical organism. Synthesis is the place where differences intertwine, skills are amplified and music becomes a shared gesture, experience and vision.

Between training, artistic production and public restitution, the project traces a path that combines past and future, tradition and innovation, local roots and international openness. A process that is not limited to generating works, but builds relationships, skills and new possibilities for artistic existence.

The Musical Artistic Residency is funded with support from the European Union from the PR ESF+ 2021/2027 Tuscany Region and is part of Giovanisì, the Tuscany Region’s project for youth autonomy.
