Sergio Corbini Personal Site: www.sergiocorbini.com ianist, keyboard player and Sienese composer, he began to study Jazz with Luca Flores and then after he participated in the Siena Jazz seminars with Franco D'Andrea, Enrico Peranuzi and Stefano Battaglia. With the group " Lares "(Sergio Gistri, Dario Cecchini, Stefano Scalzi, Mauro Grossi, Nico Vernuccio, Daniele Fusi), created by Daniele Fusi, he recorded original pieces in honor of Mandela. Lares with new additions to the group, Bruno Tommaso and Eugenio Colombo, they dedicate a new project to Italian and French pieces from the XIV century rewritten in the Jazz tradition. A cd has been recorded with the group "Il Volo di Lindbergh"( Raffaele Brancati, Mariano Di Dunzio, Amedeo Ronga and Daniele Fusi) This CD was based on music of Kurt Weil; the CD was mentioned in an American magazine " All About Jazz ". This CD has been presented at many national and international festivals with different combinations of musicians-Umbria Jazz, Palermo, Siena Jazz, Doetinchem (Holland), Anversa (Belgium), Avignon (France) ecc. He has also collaborated in the Theater with actors such as Sergio Castellitto, Margaret Mazzantini, Marco Messeri. He has participated on Television in programs dedicated to Jazz. In 2001 and 2002 he participated in th program " Notturno Etrusco", with Ilaria Occhini and Alessandro Haber. For this program he arranged and composed parts of the music. In 2002 the CD " Antologia Italiana" came out, it was dedicated to Italian jazz compositions and recored in a duo with the violinist Rino Adamo. With his quintet ("CORBINI- FRANCESHINI Quintet") with Stefano Franceschini, Mariano Di Nunzio, Bruno Tommaso, and Paolo Corsi) The quintet recorded the CD Amazing that was released in June 2003 for Splasc(h) Records inspired by the music of Steve Swallow. He collaborates with the violinist Rino Adamo and the bassist Giovanni Maier on a new work with music of Eric Dolphy, The CD was released in January of 2005.
