The The Siena Jazz Foundation-National Jazz Academy and AJMI - Association pour le Jazz et les Musiques Improvisées, have created a project of collaboration between italian and french musicians.
"Euro JazzLab" is in fact a contemporary jazz project arising from the encounter of the french trio "Mula-Santacruz-Silvant" with the italian duo "Adamo-Corbini". The collaboration between the two european institutions is activated through a cultural exchange project utilizes a residence formula in which the quinte twill start the work in Avignone and complete it in Siena, creating another bridge between italian and french jazz.
The goal of this project i sto rcord a CD of original compositions elaborated for this occasion. The recording will be preceded and followed by concerts in Italy and France.
The residence will last one week in each country,permitting an acurate artistic endeavor to be apparaised by both italian anf french cultural institutes.
The project arose from a series of encounters during which the quintet verified the existence of a common stylistic blend and artistic view on jazz and its contemporary derivatives giving birth to a mix of musical eperiences and experimentation that has motivated the collaboration between these two historical institutions in the field of jazz didactics, research and promotion.
