The New International Masterclasses marks an historic moment for Siena Jazz Foundation, and represents an innovation following the biennial Siena Jazz course for the higher education called International Jazz Master Program in Improvisation Techniques. The new summer course will have a complete different didactic approach.

There will be a selective entry for 120 students in order to improve the quality course and to have a better contact with all the teachers;

Equipment and Instrumentation

27 fully equipped rooms and available either for lessons and personal study;
27 Hi-Fi sound systems;
11 Coda pianos;
36 Clavinova (electric piano with weighted keys keyboard);
26 full featured Drumkit;
32 Double-bass amplifiers;
32 guitar amplifiers;
33 PCs and MACs with music software;
Wi-fi and LAN internet connection.
Please note:
Room n.10: with 12 Clavinova pianos. The room can be used for the piano players’ individual study, and it can be daily reserved. Headphones are available at the secretariat staff desk;
Room n.13: IT lab. It’s a multi-purpose room with 10 multimedia workstations that can be used for bass and guitar players. The room can be daily reserved. Headphones are available at the secretariat staff desk;
Centro Nazionale Studi del Jazz "Arrigo Polillo". 2 workstations available for individual listening and transcription ( midi keyboards available). All the recordings and media supports of the Center are at teachers’ and students’ disposal for the didactic activity.
