Introductory and advanced level courses
The "Siena Jazz Foundation - National Jazz Academy" Foundation presents its winter Courses in Musical Formation, organized for the academic year 2007/2008
These are permanent Courses in musical education that tend to complete the didactic program that Siena jazz offers to young musicians for nearly thirty years. These are a series of introductory and specialization courses in jazz and contemporary music, like Fusion, Funky, Latin, Blues, Jazz-rock and similar styles deriving from jazz.
The enrollment fee includes the following benefits for the entire academic year:
• Studios for nighttime practice sessions: each monday, tuesday and thursday (excluding holidays) the school is open from 8pm to 12am for students to practice alone or in groups;
• Studios for individual study/practice: up to 2 hours, in the empty classrooms;
• Studios for group study/practice: up to 2 hours, in the empty classrooms;
• Recording studio: the Siena Jazz Foundation has two recording studios which students can reserve and utilize, for a special price, according to regulations;
• Fotocopy service:"self-service" fotocopy is available to enrolled students who will recieve a card for 100 fotocopies, renewable at the student’s cost;
• Each student will receive the "Siena Jazz Card": This card entitles the holder to discounts in certain stores. The secretary will provide the list of stores at the moment of enrollment;
• Computer service: in front of the main office a computer is always available with internet. Students may also use the computers in the classrooms when lessons are terminated. Students will receive password and user name when they enroll;
• Library and "Arrigo Polillo" National jazz study center Sound Archive: all students can consult the material in the Study Center: audio recordings, videos, books and magazines may be utilized according to the Foundation's internal regulations;
• Insurance: the student is insured against any damage occuring inside of the Foundation;
The enrollment fee includes entrance exams and course exams.
